Tech Culture not a “one size fits all”

Culture Amp’s Sloan and McPherson’s idea of the differing world of tech culture is a refreshing take for those who operate outside of the tech space. I often speak with peers from professional backgrounds such as Accountancy, Law and Investment banking who all carry this idea of a stereotypical “tech team” or a bean bag culture that exists at all dot coms. The article focuses on organisations that have been built from tech or technology being at the core of their proposition. I’d be interested to see how this differs to organisations of whom I would class as “embracing” technology, the established institutions that have found in order to continue to compete in their field they have gone out to purchase or invest in new tech. In Product Management, Business and Technology is often referenced to the healthy relationship where the business negotiate requirements with technology. However where companies lack the appropriate channels in communication and understanding, Business vs Technology carries a whole new meaning.
